A Blog about Blogs

Hey Folks,

So for starters I'm just here making a list of things I want to blog about!
  • Olga Kay party
  • Fiesta Mural
  • Gone
  • Podpocalypse - Pod Bod
  • Fight Club
I have so many thoughts in a day, I could probably sit here blogging from dusk till dawn and back again. So I'm actually gonna see what I can do along those lines.

I think the more things I straight out, put out there the more accountable I'll hold myself. So above are a list of things I'm going to blog about, asap!

What to blog about first!? what do you think?

Light, Camera, Actions Items List

Hey Folks,

First off what an amazing weekend.
What amazing people (both behind the scenes and behind the cars).

I'm super excited to see what the other agents do, but I'm even more excited to see the ideas I've already started plotting out come to fruition.

Speaking of seeing things.

7 hours ago, I'm behind the wheel of a car speeding along the private Ford racetrack - The Proving Grounds... and then I'm touching down in LAX and racing off to see my first sketch that is being performed at IO West (formerly the improv olympic- which is ironically playing the winter olympics in their bar even though they were forced to change their name to IO by said program)

Back track - racing to watch 1st sketch in IO's top Story Weekly, a Weekend Update/Onion style news sketch show.

I just started writing for them, this is merely the 2nd sketch I turn in - and it's one of 3 that appear as headlines on the program cover for the show. (Pumped? yes, yes I am).

The Sketch "Lady Navy" is about the lift on the ban of women in Submarines.

My amazing cast is:
Artemis Pebdani
Derek Reid
Baille Des Rocher
Jimmy Guidish
Matt Moore

Yes, that's right the same Artemis from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Now that's a great capper to the caper that was this weekend.

I gotta crank out some things

here's my action items list:
  • upload pics to flickr (from the weekend)
  • tag stuff #fiestaLA or #fiestamovement (talk about, "check, done" (just then, see what I did(I like Parenthesis!)))
  • Showering
  • go unconscious
  • start again
  • pow wow with Jen - kick ass, take names, write apologies to families of those who's asses have been kicked.

Ah, Life

Yesterday was filled with awesome douchbaggery and then made better hanging with real friends watching improv and then drinking. Yay drinking.

Today I was looking forward to rehearsal of my new sketch. However my actress just booked a paying gig that's taking her away to Europe instead. So I'm scrambling to find a new actress, reschedule rehearsals and still get the sketch up at UCB Friday.

In the mean time it looks like I've picked up another sketch to direct and shoot for my new addition to my writing group, Renie. (she has some shiny shiny pants - how could I say 'no'?)
So I have to work that in to my schedule before the 9th (when she leaves town as well)

Plus I just rescheduled my documentary soot to tomorrow.

Looks like the word of the day is 'Reschedule' or 'Suck it'

Oh yea new video is currently being edited, I'll probably get it up tomorrow morning since I don't have practice tonight.

How to Waste A Tuesday

So a few days ago I ran in to Joesph. Wait let's go back.

So a few weeks ago I met Joesph. Wait Let's go back.

So a few years ago I saw Joesph.

Yea that's it that's the begining. I've been living in the same place almost 9 years now, about 2 years ago this great little cafe opened up down the street and since then myself and a bunch of other regulars have been there often 4 or more days a week. I don't put a lot of effort into meeting new people. I don't know what it is. I used to be really open to meeting people, and these days I'd rather just watch from a far.

The other day I saw this guy I've seen a couple thousand times and I just thought, what the fuck, just acknowledge each others existence. So I said hi, we talked briefly and hazzah i promptly forgot his name and vice versa.

A few days ago I ran in to him again and we started talking, he told me he was going to be directing his first film. So having no real obligations I said "well if you ever need a guy with dreads, let me know" and he paused looked at his paperwork and said he'd see me on set Tuesday.

TUESDAY
So I arrive on set meet some people and hang out.
I proceed to hang out for about 6 hours. Though here and there they needed someone to have in the background. So I got to sit somewhere else.

then finally I delivered my line, twice and bam that was it.
Such is the life.

But in all honesty it was a good way to kill a day. Lot's of good people, ran in to an aquantance on set, which was cool and I got to talk to the executive producer and he invited me to email him about some of the scripts I've got laying around. So cross your fingers!

and with that, I'm off to go shoot a documentary.
