Music Monday Top 5 March 8th - Anthems

Hey Folks,

Anthems have always been reserved for countries and schools, establishments and such. But there are those songs that you pull every now and then because some phase of your life is changing, or changed, coming to an end or a new begining.

These are my anthems

5) Sonic Youth - Teenage Riot
Why: I pull this song up every time I just need to get my day going, kick myself in the pants. It's a motivator and a great song


4) Gray Matter - Head
Why:I don't know how this came to be, but this is my audition song. the night Before, or that last thing I do before bolting out the door to an audition is listen to this song.


3) Pegboy - Strong Reaction
Why: Similar to the previous two songs, or almost a combination therein possibly. This song is my fist pumping, get me out the door song.


2) The Damned - New Rose
Why: New Rose comes out when I'm done sulking about past relationships and I'm ready for further punishment from the female species. I almost have to wonder if looking it up for this list, in itself isn't a sign of it's timely arrival to something new... ladies? hmmm


1) Hüsker Dü - New Day Rising
Why: When all else fail, when the ships have been turned over and the skies have gone gray - There is this title track from one of my all time favorite punk bands. New Day Rising is a bullet of adrenaline shot strait in to your heart and there is no room for anything left in it's wake. It's go time.

Zeus Shall Returnith!

Hey Folks,

If you've been following along recently you may have noticed a series of of events/posts that you've either linked together or haven't.

I've been really freaking busy (so much so that my plan to do one youtube video a week has failed). A friend of mine recently lent me his blue screen. It's awesome!

So far the only thing you'll see it's been used in (videowise) is this week's Video Fight Club promo with Jen Friel And that's pretty basic stuff. I've got something coming up that's crazy big. In fact I'm procrastinating writing this blog cause I'm almost intimidated to start working on it.

This week I organized a photoshoot, brought on a Hair Stylist, a Make Up Artist (who sadly ended up bailing due to a dead car) and two models. Then I took the Zeus Toga out of retirement.

Yes that's right Zeus is coming Back!



But you've never seen Zeus like this!

Yep I'm stepping up my game to more then just me in a dress. I'm doing some crazy fnal cut and after effects maneuvers to turn Zeus in to a Jib Jab/Clip Critics style bobblehead. Technically I'll be making an animation of myself and my beautiful Greecian assistants.

I'm not making this total common knowledge yet, but this first video will actually be the results of the Battle of the Youtube Nonstars Round 2 video. So it'll be a twofold come back for me.

Yea, I'm still sick of waiting around and doing nothing.

and yea I haven't done a whole much of anything to get my manuscript noticed, a little but not much.

But this year I think, contrary to everything I've said in my Path to Publication series about POD publishing... I'm going to publish my novel myself.

Cameo on Fury of Solace

Hey Folks,

Comic con was more then just a spectators sport for me.. well more or less, it's not like I was running a booth, on a panel or in an official signing (though many autographs and pics were taken).



However while I was there I hooked up with the gang from Fury of Solace.

Originally an entry in the Doctor Horrible DVD Contest - FOS was created as a musical super hero video to apply to the Evil League of Evil

FOS was over looked - but instead of taking that as a defeat creator Emmet turned Fury into an episodic, an online comic and a whole ARG (Alternate Reality Game) thing encompassng several twitter accounts and websites.

And while I was at ComicCon the guy threw me in front of the camera for a sort of cameo roll.

Battle of the Youtube Nonstars 3

Hey Folks,

I've started to promote the Battle of the youtube NonStars. just put up a video calling for nominations. I've already gotten about 50. Which is more then I'm going to let in to the competition. In fact, it's more then double what I'll be putting in.

Now on the bright side, this means I'd have enough to do a 4th BOTYTNS immediately if I want (and have time... and haven't killed myself from the first one).

I' probably going to not take anymore nominations after tomorrow - or 100 nominations. Which ever comes first. Please Make nominations in the comments on the video (not here).

Oh yea, apparently the powers that be put me in the spotlight for people and blogs, which I'm pretty sure is only worth an extra 200 views in this day and age. It's so buried. But yay me, I guess.
