I live!

Hey Folks,

So after 25 days of writing 2000+ words a day, sometimes much more, writing a simple blog is like lifting a small rock after a full day of intense working out.

Pegboy : Sinner Inside : And over and over and over again. I think with my heart and not with my head

You know it should be easy, and you know in a few days it'll be a simple task. But right now it's like... "Oh fuck, don't look like an idiot doing this."

I've been busy.

Yet at the same time I don't feel I've got much to show for it. Well I've got this.
Yay me I've got dot gifs! Score.
Here's a little secret to all of you that think "That guys always fucking doing something, does he ever slow down?"

I never feel as though I've done anything. The minute something is done, it's gone.

The Ramones : My Brain is hanging Upside Down : You've got to pick up the pieces... pull yourself back together.

Anyway now that Nanowrimo is out of the way I can get back to a few things, like Youtube videos, Battle of the Youtube Nonstars and looking for a job that pays money.

I've been on unemployment almost a year and I'm pretty sure it's about to be over.
It was a fun ride while it lasted, but I need to make something happen before I dip in to my savings.

My mind is running a mile a minute with new projects, and that's where I get fucked. I always try and take them all on at once. So now I'm going to attempt to slow myself down and make a list and do them to the best of my abilities one by one... or at the very most three at a time.

I've got Video Fight Club down to a nice little system with perma Host Jani Wang.
And the Thursday show, Failpire, is pretty much autopilot as well now.

Brodie Foster Hubbard : Involuntary : I didn't know that I could hurt you so.

Oh and I've got sponsors for contests, that's pretty big. Though apparently giving things away is a lot harder then I thought. It's almost like pulling teeth each week to get people to participate, or if they do they don't really care about the prize.

So I'm a little unsure what to do with the remaining 20 OMG Pop star accounts I have to give away... oh well. Guess my audience doesn't play games?!

Samiam : Someones Got to Lose : Am I lying if I wonder will I walk I wonder should I even bother...

Among the projects I've got going on, I want to revamp my website http://samproof.tv and turn it into more of a Production Company site. One day if I ever get the rights to SamProof.com back, I'll make that my personal site.

Well I suppose that's all the updates for now.

I can feel it coming ....

So take us out of here boys...

Pegboy : DangerMare : Last song I'll ever write... you'd think we laugh about it now.

What's New ?!

Hey Folks,

So I just got back from my Improv Practice Group's first practice together.

We're all a little rusty, but within that I see the potential for something great. Which is frankly, great.

Last Sunday I had the first meeting of my writers group for the Vampire web series I'm producing. The series will be based on a novel I'm about half way through writing.

On Sunday we outlined a 10 episode season and flushed out some ideas. So again, I'm really excited about that. I'm hoping to shoot some stuff to make a trailer of sorts by halloween - though It'll probably be more of a teaser, since I'm the only role actually cast yet.

And finally next Wednesday I start a new improv class, which I'm excited about.

Oh and I'm working on a Comic book. In fact I need to send the script and storyboards to my illustrator right now. Maybe I'll post some in a bit.

So there's a lot of new beginnings happening. Feels like Spring not Fall.

Stay Strong,

A New Project You Can Sink Your Teeth Into

Last year for nanowrimo I started writing a vampire novel.

Then it sat around for several months as I got sucked into a hundred other things, as life went crazy, as everything went completely fucking nutter. But hey - things have calmed down some since.

So I've picked up the novel and started going over it, it's about halfway finished.

As I've been going over it I kept thinking "man this would be a cool series"

I made a few failed attempts to try writing the novel and write a series. But I keep going back and forth on how to bring the voice of the novel in to the series, or whether I shouldn't just remove the series from the novel and such.

So I've assembled a small team of writers to write the series based on my work.

Today is our first meeting.

Domination

Today I've begun the first steps in creating a Vampire Web series.

Soon I will destroy the earth.

That is all.

Things I do

Hey Folks,

I have so many blogs and websites, projects and portals that sometimes I wonder if the people that know I do youtube videos, know I do a comedy lobster blog, or know I have a live streaming show, or know I do a web comic.

At the same time I feel redundant posting my own comic strip, in to my blog on a regular basis but here are a few recent strips. I just wrote, drew and scheduled 4 more for this coming week so check out : http://15xcomic.blogspot.com/ and subscribe to the RSS feed for that (you can also use the google/blogger reader - there's a link on the site)

Here are some recent strips:

I really need to figure out some kind of portal to keep everything in closer proximity.

How do you Focus?

I've had this blog window open for about 20 minutes.

I've been sitting in the cafe for about 2 hours.

Photo_21-feedI've done nothing. NOTHING. I have a million fucking ideas in my head and I can't find the focus to act on a single one of them.

So I thought I'd come here and and focus on my lack of focus. If you were to make a mind map of my thoughts right now, you wouldn't come back with a clever typographical design of keywords. Every single letter would break away to create it's own unique mosaic. It's pure chaos.

It's like this

Maybe worse. Probably worse.

I've felt so lathargic and burnt out lately. it's a combination or doing a million things, and having a million things I want to do. I don't get to work on nearly enough of the things I want.

I sit here with lists of lists of things to work on... Path to Publication, CastingTube, Failpire, Short Race, 15x, dash30dash, writing, novels, Gone, Here, eating, drinking, jerking off, work, sleep, Sketch writing, Video making, vlogging, blogging, twittering, plurking, Pinging, chatting, flirting, branding, promoting, talking to the community, talking to the friends, talking to the fans, answering email, answering the phone, checking voice mail, checking email, checking myself.... this list goes on. I've had voice mails on my phone for over a week. Emails on youtube for longer than I'm willing to admit.

How do you do it? How do you find the focus on a thousand projects? How do you prioritize?

I'm trying to break the week up in to days where I force myself to work on a specific project. Give it a deadline. Thing is.. this is the 5th time I've tried to make this list. It gets lost, prioritize change, interests change, life is change, change is constaint, nothing stays the same. My mind is fluid. It goes with the flow of chaotic change.

I need an army of people to help me. I wish I could just divy out portions of my mind and say "carry this out" - and um.. do it for credit, and every week... mkthxilybuhbye. Is that too much to ask?

Things keep getting complex. I start thinking things like "if I can't commit to something once a week, I can make a rotating two week schedule... on weeks A I'll work on ABC & D and weeks B I'll work on XYZ and *explode brain*"

Srsly wtf?

I've never felt so unaccomplished and burnt out all at the same time, as I have in this last month.

Well at least I can mark this off from the massive list
Write blog - check
twitter about writing blog - check.

So what do you do to focus?
